Cockroaches
Cockroaches can be very difficult to eliminate, while at the same time very easy to introduce into your home or business. Here are some considerations and/or tips to prevent cockroach infestations…
PREVENTION
Be careful where you shop. Many times roaches can be brought home from grocery stores, second hand stores, appliance stores, and garage sales. So be careful where you shop and what you buy.
Cockroaches can be introduced into your home or business by friends, family, and customers who live and work in areas infested with cockroaches. Even YOU can carry cockroaches from these infested sites.
Keep your home and business clean and clutter free. Pay close attention to food waste such as kitchens, breakrooms, garbage receptacles and dish sinks.
Refrain from using “Do It Yourself (DIY)” remedies as they will only make things worse. Cockroaches can be chased around a home or business if not treated properly. This can make controlling infestations much more difficult and costly. Let a professional treat them instead.
Be aware that cockroaches are easily spread so if you see one in your area, please notify management or a pest control professional immediately.
TREATMENT
After a thorough inspection by our pest management technicians, treatment recommendations will include either baiting or spraying or both. Baiting for cockroaches can be very effective if done by a pest management professional. Scheduling bait treatments can be coordinated at any time.
IMPORTANT: If a spray treatment is required, the home or business will need to be prep-ed for the treatment before the scheduled treatment date. If you are scheduled for a spray treatment, please download our simple prep sheet (HERE) for easy reference. NOTE: If you are unable to prepare your location for spray treatment ahead of your scheduled date, please notify us prior to 9am on the scheduled day so that we can re-schedule.
